625000 for a study and 700M for a station?    Cant we do anything in  this country without featherbedding, payoffs, political "donations".

For a pair of highly unreliable through LDT trains.

Of course the intention is some commuter routes and intercity corridors, but get a route or two going first before making a big deal about the terminal..

I assume the timeline for this is ten years or more out, way, way longer than should be necessary.

They haven't spent a dime on the current station since the Olympics, and that was only to add an elevator.

If I had a dollar for every news article written about a replacement station in Atlanta, I'd be as wealthy as Warren Buffett by now. This has been going on ever since Amtrak took over the Crescent in 1979. Downtown. Atlantic Station. The former BOP plant in Doraville. On and on.

It's a fantastic question Chelsie 1963, and one I thought worthy of further discussion, so I started a separate thread to build upon it.  Thanks for stimulating the thoughts about it!
