Today's WB Borealis (1333) at Portage, WI
Author: MNR225

Today was a beautiful Indian-summer day in central Wisconsin with bright sun and low 80's for high temperatures.  The WB Borealis arrived Portage on-time with two (2) P42's and three (3) Superliners.  One passenger on; no one off.

The 154 in the new Phase VII scheme looked especially clean (recent re-paint?).

That seems very concerning that there was only one passenger on and no one off on a Sunday.

It's a tad light, but Portage is a pretty small town. I would think Sunday would be it's slowest day, anyway.

Very concerning because everyone knows Portage Wisconsin is a bustling metropolis. This is irrefutable proof that nobody rides Amtrak because of demand destruction!

It's probably already full up anyway.
Columbus is by far the busier stop for Madison folks too.

Unfortunately there is no connection between Madison and Columbus. Maybe an expensive lift/uber.

Curious to know how Business Class works in this set-up?  Assuming one of the 3 Superliners is a 35000 snack coach, but where does the business class passenger sit...all seats would be the same, no distinction or separate seating area I am guessing.

It is painful to see two big units assigned to a 3 car train.

No business class offered. All seats the same. No horizon cars which did offer business class.

Both engines are always online unless there's an issue.
