1. Amtrak ALC42-309 is on the point of N/B Northeast Regional train NR-174 (Richmond, VA to Boston, MA) as it comes to a stop in the Fredericksburg, VA station. It's on track 2 of CSX's RF&P Sub. 8:30AM on 11-25-25.

2. Amtrak P42DC-10 is leading S/B Northeast Regional train NR-67 (Boston, MA to Newport News, VA) as it comes into the Fredericksburg, VA joint Amtrak/VRE station. It's on track 3 of CSX's RF&P Sub. 8:36AM on 11-25-25.

3. Amtrak P42DC-198 is providing the power for N/B Northeast Regional train NR-84 (Norfolk, VA to Penn Station, NY, NY). Here, it's on track 3 of CSX's RF&P Sub making its station stop in Fredericksburg, VA at 9:24AM on 11-25-25.

It's amazing how these Amtrak engines get around. Both 309 and 10 were doing turns on the Coast Starlight out here recently (meaning in the Northwest, in my case).  Also, I remember riding behind 309 on the City of New Orleans shortly after it entered service.  When I saw our lone engine was a new Charger, I said to myself "hope we make it to Chicago."  We did with no apparent problems.  I watched the engineer change from the platform in Memphis. The door to the cab was, of course, open. That new cab was the cleanest-looking engine cab I ever saw.
