On time "departure" from Chicago to stop at the shop for repair. 2 hours and 36 mins late out of Chicago in reality. 370 - 30 mins late out of Chicago, mechanical issues. 50 - mechanical assessment. On time "departure" from Chicago only to shove back to CUS. For further assessment by mechanical. Beech Grove "shuttle motor" issues. BG move dropped off the head end and cardinal allowed to leave under their own power with revised paperwork. Borealis 1340 towed by 7 to Milwaukee to protect the Milwaukee-Chicago passengers. (Smart move Amtrak!). You'll recall this set crapped out in La Crosse and they dumped everyone onto buses to St Paul and ran deadhead to Chicago in the middle of the night.
