2 Nesting Eagles and a Flyer

Heartland Flyer, that is.  And of course, Texas Eagles.  Caught this busy time about 3 weeks ago in downtown Ft. Worth.  I'd just stepped off the Texrail seen leaving at the beginning, and grab shot the Flyer reversing into its station track.  By the time I'd walked to the end of the platform, the SB (WB?) Eagle was coming into the station.  Once he landed, the Flyer moved to its layover track until it's later afternoon departure back to OKC.  It happened to have my favorite Amtrak scheme on the head end, and the Amtrak folks were nice enough to let me walk down and take a couple of photos of it in near perfect light.  Then, after a UP hopper train FINALLY cleared Tower 55 (earlier Western Board video - Sounds Nobody Wants to Hear), the NB (EB) Eagle came into the station.  Quite the mix of Amtrak trains, all in Ft. Worth, all at the same time.

I have video of the NB (EB) Eagle departing that I'll post later; unfortunately, since the SB (WB) was delayed by the UP blockage, it departed at the same time the NB (EB) Eagle arrived.  I focused on the NB, since it was quite a long train and didn't notice the SB had left until it was too late.

Neat video.  Thank you for sharing it.  Notice that the southbound Texas Eagle stops a block and half south of the covered platform, two block south of the station building, next to the former Santa Fe red brick station.  Passengers walk a long way, and there is no cover or public address system where they stop.  This is routine practice to keep the limited station tracks available for TRE and Tex-rail services.  The late arriving passenger was confused as you can see.

I always thought Bobbi Jo was hot...and she liked to run the Cannonball, too!
