Passenger Trains > Amtrak/Roadrunner/BNSF tracks between Belen and LamyDate: 01/10/26 10:51 Amtrak/Roadrunner/BNSF tracks between Belen and Lamy Author: shortlineboss Who owns what? Any maps of the trackage?
Mike Root Madras, OR Date: 01/10/26 13:47 Re: Amtrak/Roadrunner/BNSF tracks between Belen and Lamy Author: Cumbresfan NM DOT owns the tracks from Belen north to Lamy; others can give the exact mileposts( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Mexico_Rail_Runner_Express ). NM DOT also owns the new tracks to Santa Fe but does not own the tracks of the Santa Fe Southern, Santa Fe to Lamy. North of Lamy BNSF still owns and maintains those tracks. Also, BNSF retains ownership of the tracks from the Isleta Junction to Dalies. The RR operator, Rio Metro (NMRX), dispatches four trains: Rail Runner, Amtrak, BNSF, and Santa Fe Southern.
