Passenger Trains > Flying Over the Frozen Susquehanna RiverDate: 01/31/26 14:45 Flying Over the Frozen Susquehanna River Author: cr2581 Certainly not the day to be out for prolonged periods of time but I did manage to stay warm between the few trains that ran. First up was 2162 with the only NextGen set in service yesterday. It was followed by 2109 with the colorful "AI Workday" wrap and then I drove across the river to Havre de Grace to get a late running 185.
Enjoy and stay warm ! Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 01/31/26 14:49 by cr2581. Date: 01/31/26 15:10 Re: Flying Over the Frozen Susquehanna River Author: WM_1109 Nice work.
It was not a day to be outside for an extended period, least of all standing next to a frozen river! /Ted Date: 01/31/26 15:12 Re: Flying Over the Frozen Susquehanna River Author: regalstream1516 Beautiful! Thank you for the efforts to photo, share, and post.

:^) Date: 02/02/26 08:00 Re: Flying Over the Frozen Susquehanna River Author: cjvrr I just happen to be driving to Baltimore on Friday around noon and there was a tug pushing a barge opening the channel. I don't think he was intentionally being used as an ice breaker, just going about his workday.
