Passenger Trains > Meteor late out of NYC again

The Silver Meteor has not gotten out of NYC on time for days and days, it seems.  I may have missed an on time departure, but I am pretty sure there have not been any for awhile.

Why is this the case?  Today the estimated departure is 4:45 pm, over 2 hours late.  I am sure the explanation will be late arriveal of equipment or some such thing.

Yesterday (26) #97 departed NYP 4:54 pm - (2:27 late) and didn't make up any
tiime, except for the padding into WPB. They are turning the equipment the same
day as the service suffers. Amtrak should return the departure to 3:30 pm.
 

Seems like a good idea.  97 did not get out of NYP until 5:08 pm.

I am riding 97/98 in mid-March, (Springfield-) NYP-SAV.  Hoping things get closer to normal.  The Meteor is normally extremely reliable.
