Passenger Trains > PA questionDate: 02/27/26 18:00 PA question Author: Woodman Are there any more Santa Fe PA's in existence? If so where? What museum's? Needless to say, I love PAs and run one on my Clubs railroad in OK City. Lots more character than F7's, but I love them also. Thanks ahead for any help someone may have.

And there are two PAs on display in Mexico.
So unless you own an A.C. Gilbert vintage American Flyer S Gauge or a modern day Lionel PA, there are no others. Gone, long gone. Alco PAs in other scales??? Gonut Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/27/26 20:12 by Gonut1. Date: 02/27/26 20:26 Re: PA question Author: RuleG Gonut1 Wrote:

Were it not for the D&H, the PA's would probably have been made extinct. Posted from Android Date: 02/28/26 17:45 Re: PA question Author: livesteamer I believe there are several operating 1 1/2" scale PAs operating around the country at various live steam railroads. I know one is located in the greater Kansas City but have not seen it run in several years. Last time that I know for sure the PA (ATSF war bonnet scheme) was running on a private railroad near St Cloud, Minnesota. I will look for a picture or two and post if I can find them. In the meantime, how about a Pennsy FA/FB set from my private railroad?

Doyle McCormick was our inspiration and we won’t stop until it is fully restored and it is in its AT&SF Warbonnet paint. Come see us as work progresses.

Date: 03/02/26 11:58 Re: PA question Author: mvrr10 The PA's in Brazil had 5 foot gauge wheels as opposed to 4' 812 " , 3 1/2' wider gauge . The carbody is the same as other PA's I believe .

And here I thought this post was a question about Pennsylvania... Subject line should indicate ALCo PA to avoid confusion... |
