Passenger Trains > New Haven on New HavenDate: 03/11/26 09:59 New Haven on New Haven Author: JPB At 11:48AM Wednesday 3/11/26, MBTA train 736 from Forge Park/Franklin MA paused at the Islington stop with MBTA's newly released New Haven liveried F40PH-3C 1071 shoving the consist east to South Station. MBTA's Forge Park/Franklin line is what's left of the New Haven's Midland line that at one time ran west to Willimantic CT. According to the June 1954 Official Guide, the NH ran 4 daily trains between Boston and Waterbury via the Midland and Highland divisions, including "The Nutmeg." Today the track west of Franklin is a rail trail.
My next objective is to capture MBTA F40 1036, the New York Central lightning stripe heritage unit, on the ex-B&A Worcester/Framingham line. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/11/26 10:02 by JPB. Date: 03/11/26 15:25 Re: New Haven on New Haven Author: mvrr10 Great shot , thanks JPB !
