Passenger Trains > Trains In The Snow - And Private CarsDate: 03/16/26 21:30 Trains In The Snow - And Private Cars Author: sethamtrak Hiawatha 339 arriving into and departing from Glenview, IL. They met 8 just west of the depot. Only an hour and 25 mins late out of Glenview. That's when I heard the dispatcher query 339 and informed them that they would be going into Depot 4 in Milwaukee tonight. Knowing that refreshed Metrolinks came down recently, I knew it meant that the Charter Club and St James Place would be picked up. I then picked up some dinner then caught 1340 on my way home. In Morton Grove, IL. After I ate I went back out to see 342 with the Charter Manufacturing cars. I will try and be up bright and early to see them depart Chicago tomorrow morning.

A visually impaired man using a walking cane walked across the tracks the tracks as 8 was coming in, and the engineer layed on the horn. I didn't realize what was happening until I turned around while recording. Both sections of the train were clean. Especially the Portland section which was gleaming.
Borealis 1340 was right on time out of Glenview. Seen in Morton Grove. I left the video rolling a little longer to show the flying snow. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/16/26 21:42 by sethamtrak. I almost forgot, I went out at lunch to catch CP train 247. Upon my arrival, Hiawatha 334 met an outbound Metra holding down the platform/crosswalk for 334 to fly through.
