On-time but filthy Cardinal into and out of Charleston, WV. Incredible timing with a loaded coalie passing the Amtrak up as it slowed and stopped at the station. Deadhead Viewliner bag on the rear.

Nice   catch.  Our  favorite  train in Cincinnati. The  GORGE thru  dirty  windows!!  Car  washer in Chicago  too  busy for  the  CARDINAL??

I rode the Cardinal last week to Chicago and windows were filthy and cafe service terrible.

I really like that scheme Amtrak used on that diesel.  Fortunate catch with the coal as well.  The waits for those moves  are greater than thy used to be for sure.

Wash the damned trains!  How hard is this?  

This company is pathetic.  The FRA plan to divide it MAY help, but the core of this apple is rotten.  I want a complete remake of Amtrak.  I think we all do.
