Passenger Trains > Heartland Flyer Status

Does anyone know the status of the Heartland Flyer?  I know that Oklahoma funded the train for a year, but my guess is that funding ends with the fiscal year, I have tentative plans to ride it in conjunction with a Texas Eagle trip over the Christmas holidays.  While a special trip to ride the train isn't rally feasible right now, but I will make one if the train is in danger of being discontinued. TIA for any additional information.

Last I heard is that its funded through the end of the current fiscal year. Not sure when that ends, but I think someone said a stop-gap measure would be needed for a time until the Texas legislature takes up the issue again in Jan '27. How that plays out in anyone's guess, not sure if this helps you...
