Passenger Trains > Not my favorite SF Muni PCC

The SF Muni PCC painted to honor the Pacific Electric Railway (who's cars weren't this model) was damaged yesterday by a collision with an SF Fire Department engine.  I'm pretty sure 1061 was in a wreck before, wonder how long it will be out of commission this time.  I've always liked this particular PCC car, probalby because I got a Bachmann HO model as a kid painted just like it.  It's almost like Munie used that model as inspiration when setting up the F line cars.  :)

Can't see any damage in the linked article's photos.

There's only one photo, but it looks like the fire engine took the brunt of it.

1061 was rear ended some years ago and was fixed.

Looks like both the front and center doors got some damage along with the bodywork along the side. Appears that the hit was bad enough that it took the front bumper off the fire truck.

Seems like the damage could have been much worse. Hopefully #1061 is able to be returned to service soon, it's also one of my favorite cars in the MUNI fleet (although I love them all!)
