More MUNI LRVs...
Author: atx_railfan

I've waited to post these following the outstanding photos of the same operation shared here the other day by TO user 'dwatry', but I figured a couple days were good enough for the board to not be too sick of seeing LRVs.

As I detailed in my PCC post this morning, I'm currently in San Francisco and as such have been carrying my camera with me whenever I'm out. This past Sunday+Monday, that meant having it with me to photograph some MUNI LRV operations while out for an afternoon/evening bike ride in the Sunset.

First up, a quick one from Sunday evening:
1) An outbound N Judah train negotiates a sharp 90° corner at 9th and Judah Streets. 4/5/26

On Monday afternoon, I rode a rented e-bike through Golden Gate Park and down the newly car-free Great Highway/Sunset Dunes. It's a lovely ride, and even on a work day there are many people and families out and about on their bikes and other personal transportation devices.
2) An inbound L Taraval train departs for Embarcadero Station on Market Street.

3) An outbound L Taraval train approaches its own sharp 90° curve to get to the loop by the SF Zoo

4) I rode back up the Sunset Dunes bikeway to Judah Street, where I found this LRV turning on the super tight curve at the end of the line. Not quite as photogenic as usual, as this unit was wearing some sort of AI company's advertising wrap. San Francisco is at the epicenter of the AI boom, and just about every transit vehicle ad in the city is for some sort of AI product, usually companies the layperson has never heard of, exclusively marketing towards software developers.

5) I rode back up one street south of Judah, and the steep grades made me grateful for the assist in the e-bike. Even with the assist turned on (albeit on a low setting), it was still quite the workout! I caught this outbound N Judah train along Irving in the Inner Sunset.

6) An inbound N Judah train enters the Sunset Tunnel.

7-8) Finally, I rode over near UCSF Parnassus and shot one more outbound train just east of the tight S-curve by the hospital.

Thanks for viewing!

I can never have too many shots of "home".  Need to get back there one of these days.
