Passenger Trains > Morning rush hour - Bristol, PADate: 08/01/26 14:44 Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: Mgoldman A forecasted sunny day begged getting out for some photography on July 29th, and Bristol, PA was
near enough for a quick morning session before the Sun rose too high, though early morning haze made things a bit tricky at first: The first "Acela" of the day, westbound through Bristol, PA - that's the PA Turnpike Bridge in the background An eastbound followed later after the haze dissappated And next up, from the opposite platform, a legacy Acela headed towards NY /Mitch Date: 08/01/26 14:52 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: Mgoldman SEPTA filled in the gaps -
A Silverliner V set arrives from Trenton, NJ, as the Sun rose, bound for Philadelphia An ACS-64 "All Cities Sprinter" leads a set east just shy of the station An Amtrak EMD SDP40F (built in 1974 for Amtrak) trails in a light engine move towards Philly. /Mitch Date: 08/01/26 15:09 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: Mgoldman Date: 08/01/26 16:30 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: Gonut1 Good sampler of what to see on the Corridor!

Am I missing something in the light engine move? I don't see an SDP40 in there. Date: 08/02/26 05:04 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: jeff56 Photo #6 you mentioned:
An Amtrak EMD SDP40F (built in 1974 for Amtrak) trails in a light engine move towards Philly." Engine #572 is a MPI GP15D; built between 2000-2004. Date: 08/02/26 08:43 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: Passfanatic These are very nice! It's great that you have been getting photos of those legacy Acelas plus the Ex-Metroliner Cab Cars. This is certainly going to be the very last summer that the 1st Gen Acelas will be in service. I can also see those Ex-Metroliner Cab Cars retiring after this summer too.

You are correct of course. My diesel isn’t too good, lol. I thought it would’ve been something MPI, but a quick glance on Google through me off - if it wasn’t an error from a RRArchives shot, it may had been a train number vs locomotive number that through me off. Thanks for the correction. /Mitch Posted from iPhone Date: 08/02/26 13:55 Re: Morning rush hour - Bristol, PA Author: ns1000 Nice shots!!
