1 hour and 25 mins down was 7 into Glenview. Reportedly engine 302 was acting up at departure time and dropped and swapped with engine 135. 

1340 was on-time passing Morton Grove with 514 leading and ALC42 327 trailing. 

8 was 2 hours and 45 mins late running right behind 1340. 8 went into the siding near La Crosse so that 1340 could pass it. This preserves on-time performance for the Borealis. Also of note, 8 had viewliner I 62027. It went to Seattle and back.

I wonder why the Viewliner I went for a ride on the Empire Builder..........That seems odd, but I am sure there's an explanation!

A   CROWDED  TRAIN is  an  UNPLEASANT TRAIN!!  BOREALIS  needs  another  coach. No news  there!!
