A new Cascades Airo Train came west to Seattle on number 7 today.

I caught it on the old Great Northern at Crab Creek, between Wilson Creek and Stratford.

The train was running several hours late, with the baggage car on the rear. I'm not sure if the train arrived Spokane with the baggage on the rear, or whether it was switched there after the 27 split,

The baggage car was moved to the rear in Milwaukee to eliminate an intermittent HEP problem.

Great video! I was relieved to hear that the Airo train was not causing the HEP problem. I would expect another Airo train in Seattle very soon. Everybody wants to start Airo train service on the Cascades in about a month, and we're hearing they want three trainsets in place in Seattle before that happens. We have two, Cascades Airos in Seattle as of today. Literaly as I write this sentence, the Empire Builder and the Airo train are rolling into Seattle past the new Seattle North railcam.

Good to the see the Cascades Airo heading west to Seattle!!! Glad they were able to re-arrange the Baggage Car and still continue on. Of note, there is a full regular Superliner Sleeper subbing for the Superliner Trans-Dorm Car........Hopefully Amtrak was able to maximize the "extra space" in the Superliner Sleeper subbing in. Superliner Sleeper Bedrooms go for TOP DOLLAR and are sold out in the busy summer season most of the time!!!
