I'd love to see that in current day ops. But I do seem to remember that some hoggers here on TO mentioned that the P32s were not too comfortable operating on long trips [loud, hot, and/or?). I recently got back into film photography and didn't realize how much I missed the "analog" look of film! I guess I've gotten so used to digital over the years.

Date: 08/27/26 09:35 Re: Amtrak Memories, 1993 Author: jmhemmer Actually, mail and express didn't work. Getting the cars loaded and into and out of consists caused extensive delays (at least extensive by the standards of the time). And Amtrak lost serious money.

cost more than they expected? Or did Amtrak have to pay for delays? Date: 08/27/26 12:22 Re: Amtrak Memories, 1993 Author: jmhemmer I don't know those details. Good questions.
