 AOS has sent four men from their mechanical department to assist the flood damaged Whitewater Valley RR. Their goal was to clean out and lubricate the plain bearings on multiple passenger coaches and cabooses usually used in the regular operations.  Some maintenance of way railcars that will soon be needed to repair their mainline also received attention.
We are wishing them the best for recovery and are happy to hear of many others that have stepped up and helped them both financially and volunteering their time!!

I wonder if AOS has any spare Westinghouse traction motors that would help put one of the Limas back in service, instead of having to fund and wait for WWV's own tm's to be repaired?

That is amazing!  What a huge help to the Whitewater Valley as they hope to be able to run fall and winter trips of some sort in the prime season.  No ticket revenue over the next 4 months would be crippling as the floods decimated every aspect of the operation.  

It is incredible to hear of stories like this of other operations lending a hand to get the WVRR back on thier feet.
