Passenger Trains > Acela's through Bristol, PA - one of each

Took a quick jaunt over to Bristol Park, PA - an industrial park, but one that none the less 
provides a good vista, and grabbed one of each on the first day of September 2026: 

AMTK No. 2024 is seen here sporting her new temporary sand fill door under the cab 
window graciously provided by Adobe.  Everytime I get a nice Acela shot, it's one with 
a missing sand door, lol.

Trainset No. 25 led by AMTK 2149 ducks the still operation former PRR signal bridge just 
ahead of the I95 PA Turnpike Connector Bridge.

That's a nice open spot with easy access.  There is a freight local that works the lumber yard there several evenings a week with a CSX GP40 as typical power.

Love a gantry with PRR PL signals. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic shots! I, personally, don't like to "fix" blemishes on an engine with Photoshop, however. I feel like the engine looks how it looks and altering reality diminishes the archival value of the photograph. I mean, what if people polished up all the scars and dents on old, grungy Rock Island locomotives? Rust, grime and missing hatch covers are things that show the amount of life a locomotive has experienced! Regardless, you're photos are fantastic and you obviously know how to make a beautiful image. Well done!

Thanks Tom - 

I am pretty much in full agreement with your 
sentiments.  I knew a really good photographer 
who has since passed on - he altered quite a few 
of his N&W shots in ways most, including myself 
were oblivious to.  He did so without noting so and 
on sites where images were expected to be legit.

I rarely do so, and if so, always note so.  You'd never 
see such a manipulation posted otherwise.  To your 
point, not only is the sand fill door missing, but I 
neglected to add the circular push door to open the 
sand fill door.  But the "provided by Adobe" meant 
it was all in fun.  These missing doors really irritate 
me, lol.  Not as much as the silver patch panels 
on the nose that were not painted blue to match 
the rest of the trim were worse.
