Passenger Trains > #51 Out of Indianapolis 5 hours lateDate: 02/12/04 10:38 #51 Out of Indianapolis 5 hours late Author: LX15840 #51 departed Indy at 11:55 AM this morning. The power was P42 #9, which was put on the front of the train at Indy, and P42 #96. The usual 4 car Amfleet equipment followed. Upon departure, this overpowered consist blasted through the near west side, scattering trash in all directions. Wish I was onboard as it tries to make up time going to CHI.

I broke down (pardon the pun) and drove to Rensselaer to watch the show. 51 is following Q598 all the way to Chicago and I heard them say on the radio that 598 has work in route and will stop and pick up cars. They were stopped for a train to clear south (did not get the symbol)... Poor People Train.
