Passenger Trains > Any Update on the Coast LineDate: 01/13/05 19:43 Any Update on the Coast Line Author: SunsetLtd Anybody have any updates because I have a Cousin coming down on #11 on friday. He hopes to see the whole route so does anyone have any updates?
Date: 01/13/05 19:47 Re: Any Update on the Coast Line Author: jccollins North of Los Angeles, Amtrak does not expect to be running any trains before Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. There are significant track and signal problems at the Ventura River Bridge, Seacliff and La Conchita.

I don't see this being open as quickly as you'd like.

Faster on the fingers? :) At least the station I caught got the location close. I don't think this is over yet. Was looking around the street where I live and there is still water oozing up from cracks in the blacktop. A couple of years back, we thought maybe a spring had restarted in the area, until the water department tested and found chlorine in it. Either way, spring or busted pipe, it could make for some "interesting" times. And the slide on the border of South Pasadena and Los Angeles under the Gold Line I'd bet has them worried, let alone any place else that when trafic picks up is going to get renewed pounding, etc. Maybe a weekend for picture taking if I can get away from the soccer games. Date: 01/13/05 23:03 Re: Any Update on the Coast Line Author: JohnThomas I'm ticketed this weekend for 11(14) SJC-SLO and 14(16) SLO-SJC. Amtrak tells me that both trains are annulled south of OKJ, with no alternative transportation. I now need to secure a bus ticket.
