Passenger Trains > Tallahassee,FL problemsDate: 08/09/05 19:50 Tallahassee,FL problems Author: SunsetLtd Anyone know why the Sunset that was running early and that arrived into Tallahassee on time, depart 1hr 43mins late? Nomally TLH is a 3 minute stop.

Revision: In addition, Train 1 was held for a connecting bus which Amtrak chartered, after Train 97, the Silver Meteor, struck an abandoned vehicle near Richmond, VA. and was delayed so long, it missed the connection at Jacksonville. This actually happened BEFORE the AMTK 20 failed and the train had to wait hours for the CSX rescue unit. And also the CSX engine must of stopped working too, It almost 12 hours late and is still in Florida!
Date: 08/10/05 17:05 Re: Tallahassee,FL problems Author: Genesis803 #1 passed through Biloxi, MS at 7:00 PM, over 14 hours late. It had an older Conrail engine leading P42 20. I saw a few lights on in the sleeper and lounge so hopefully the passengers had HEP. Lets see how late this train becomes when it gets UP'ed west of New Orleans. Good luck to those onboard.
