Deki 3 is still around, and according to their web site, it is theoretically operable. The railway hasn't performed the necessary inspections to certify it for main line service - insufficient funds.

I guess #201 was reliable enough for you to get multiple shots during your visit (shot #3).

For those curious, Choshi Electric Railway is located near the Pacific Coast on the NE section of Chiba Prefecture, about 130 km (81 miles) east of Tokyo. Nearby Point Inubo (Inubo-saki) juts out farther east into the Pacific Ocean than anywhere else in the Kanto Region, so it's a popular spot for the folks in and around the Tokyo Metropolitan area to experience the "first" sunrise, especially for New Year's.
