International Railroad Discussion > AC44i with Hat (Brazil)

Hi, MRS railroad is adding a windscreen protection on the AC44i that looks like a hat. It is to protection from the sun and also from iron ore falling from the conveyor belts in the loading facilities. Today I met one of tham during a railfaning trip.

The modification is practical but not beautiful.

Some engineers are calling them "Donald Trump" because the protection looks like Trump's topet.

The engineers like because it helps to reduce the sun lights in the cab.
