I like to ask if someone got the TON of the load for them , cars to carry yours snoopy Date: 05/06/17 06:43 Re: Vale ore trains Author: pedrop Vale narrow gauge cars can carry 75 to 85 metric tons (75,000 to 85,000 kg) of ore. The gross tons are 100 to 110 per car. The broad gauge cars can carry 135 metric tons each, totaling 110 tons of ore per car. Narrow gauge trains usually have 160, 240 or 320 cars, depending of the mine served. Broad gauge trains run with 440 cars as standard nowadays.

A couple of DDM45´s leading an iron ore train eastbound to the Tubarao port, while GE BB40-8 and DDM45 874 lead a westbound coal train to Belo Horizonte;
2) Two ore trains running in the same direction passing through VDD yard; 3) Empty ore leaving VDD yard bound to the mines. I spent some time in Minas Gerais in the early 1960s (my dad helped build power plants for GE) but I was too yhoung to remember anything.
