Paramedics are treating up to 20 people in Melbourne after a collision between a 25-tonne truck and a tram.

The truck ended up on its side following the collision just after 8am near Melbourne’s Royal Park in Parkville.

The number 58 tram carrying dozens of passengers derailed and suffered smashed windows.
