Author: dingo

G`day all here`s a few shots of the South 32 coal operations at Kemira Valley just east of Wollongong NSW Australia.Tucked up in the escarpment is an under stockpile ROM coal load out direct from the long wall operation 13km under ground. The product is flood loaded and profiled into 22 hopper consists with a single JT42C Pacific National 82 class locomotive for power. The product is railed to a washery 7km away and is primarily used for metallurgical coal in steel making at the Port Kembla Steel works.Hope you like the pics of the operation with more to come on the load out and some aerial shots of the stockpile and equipment. All the best Dingo...over.

Thank you here are a few more shots showing the chute profiling the loaded hoppers and the locomotive slow speed control set at 0.08km/h so as to maintain a constant speed while loading of which they do a great job.More to come.
