Surprised to see that much graffiti in NZ. Thought we only had that much here in LA and NY. :)

Saw a few of those in NZ. In the first photo this unit powering my Northern Explorer train looks a bit different, but same idea. Perhaps a bit newer?

4801 was the motive power for the Picton to Christchurch leg. (the one recently washed out)

Also spotted a switcher in the yard at Picton.

The new Kiwirail cars are really fantastic for touring around. The old blue ones (pic #1) are a bit rattle-trap by comparison.
