fca 8501: an ex- NS C36-7 (Brazil)

Hi, today I found fca BB36-7 8501 in the consist of Vale limestone train C556 here in town. It is former NW, later NS 8501. It is a nice looking GE.

Nice pictures ! Boy those tracks are sure over grown with weeds??? They are yard tracks not mainline ? Thank you... :):):)

Hi, we are in the raining season and the laws do not permit to use chemical to control the weed in urban areas, so the grass grews up fast from November to March.

The took out the original dynamic brakes. Wonder where they moved them...

Well, on the old SD40's converted to BB40's the dynamic brake fan was moved to below the main fans on the rear section.
