Helsinki to Vladivostok-Part 36
Author: CNStratford

Eofey Pavolich Amur Oblast. Who is the station named after. Google says "was a Russian entrepreneur and adventurer, best known for his exploring the Amur river region and his attempts to colonize the area for Russia. " What an education we got.
Picture 1 - Modern station.
Picture 2 - We had a very skilled mechanic on the train. Normally he was called on to repair our air-line style toilet, but here he is repairing a door that has been damaged.
Picture 3 - As we leave Eofey Pavlich, a repair train is spotted just masking an other plinthed steam locomotive.

Thanks for posting your interesting photos.
The common thread seems to be elaborate depot,
well maintained railway and rolling sock,
and miles and miles of electrification.
