Vale ore train derail (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, a Vale broad gauge ore train derailed in Açailândia, PA today. This is EFC - Carajas railway in the North. I am not sure what happened, but it looks that a ore car derailed while crossing a switch and the DPU's continued to push the cars and pilled about 30 of them.
EFC normal ore trains run with three lovomotives and 330 cars or four locomotives and 440 cars. The normal power are ES58ACi or SD80ACe, but SD70M, AC and C44 are common seen also in different consists.
As soon as I receive more news I will post here.

Good video Pedro. Looks like the crews will have their hands full cleaning that one up.
