A wonder that is gone (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

One of the most beautifull and interesting railroad stations in Brazil was built in Sabara, in the state of Minas Gerais. The building was built as a starting point of a branch to link former Central of Brazil railroad (EFCB) to the new capital of Minas Gerais, the city of Belo Horizonte that was built in the 1890´s.
The building had a diffeent style never found in other locations in the country, in triangle format with twenty seven dooors and none a window. Unfortunatelly, the building was demolished in the 1960´s in an era where people did not care on railroad preservation in Brazil.

Pedro, I hope you've been inoculated against the yellow fever outbreak which I read is in Mina Gerais among other states.

That was a beautiful station, situated like the B&O station, Point of Rocks, Maryland. Thanks for sharing, Pedro. Gerry
