Switching log train C575 here in town (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, today morning I found an unusual switching operation with the daily empty log train class 75. The train originated on Thursday at Vale mining system, so it received the prefix 5 and became C575 (C for freight). In general, these trains go direct to the loading area at EMP yard, but today it stopped here to leave 26 PED class cars to be sent later to the shops for maintenance. The train had a misture of old PQD, PED and the new PQE class cars.

1) Vale 1161 and 1206 were the units leading the 91 log cars;

2) A view of the new PQE class cars in the consist;

 3) These PQE cars were the first made by Greenbrier Maxion partnership.
