A roundhouse full of steam engines.  I don't know how many can be steamed-up but I'm sure some can.

There are 6-7 that can be steamed up, but not all are at the museum on display. For example, D51-200 (2-8-2) and C57-1 (4-6-2) are assigned to run outside the museum on revenue runs, so they may or may not be in Kyoto at a given time.

Here's a quick list of ones that are usually at the museum, and often assigned to run on the museum tracks:

- #8630, 2-6-0.
- B20-10, 0-4-0 tank engine. Not assigned to run except during special events.
- C56-160, 2-6-0. Retired recently from revenue service, but still operable.
- C61-2, 4-6-4.
- C62-2, 4-6-4.

What's the story behind the engine in the 3rd picture?

This site might help in getting "Yoshitsune"s history.
C62 in Hokkaido, before she came to the Kyoto Museum.
