Regards,DK Date: 11/19/18 23:36 Re: Shooting cans Author: Hiroshi Dear DKay-san:
It is called "Yokohama Landmark Tower," a 296 meter high with 70 floors. It cosists of shopping area, office area and hotel area(top side). It opened in 1993. Hope this helps. Nice catch and thanks for posting the report and mentioning Takashima. There's a single-track line that goes through Takashima, which is located closer to the bay east of Yokohama Station. The significance of this is that freight trains in/out of Negishi, like the "cans" can avoid the very busy Yokohama Station. There's a double-track freight line that runs north of Yokohama Station (visible from the Shinkansen west of Shin-Yokohama), and the purpose of this line (via "Yokohama-Hazawa") is similar - freight trains (mostly containers) can avoid the busy Yokohama Station. People wanting to go to Yokohama Station to "foam" freight trains will be very disappointed. However, container trains sometimes detour via Yokohama Station, so it is a rare (and special) catch if someone catches a freight there. Just want to mention this, since TO members have shown interest in catching freights in Japan. Date: 11/21/18 03:25 Re: Shooting cans Author: Hiroshi Thanx cchan006-san for following up.
Here are today's cans (the sama train).
