Classic Trains has a 1980 photo of a standard gauge Korean Railways EMD SDP38. Just curious if any are still running.  The NYT has carried articles recently about South Korea wanting to build better railroad ties (no pun) with the North to open links with the
Chinese and Russian railroads. I'd like to see one lead a run through container train into Vladivostok some day (on dual gauge trackage).

The NY Times has a picture of a two unit South Korea train with track gauge measure and extra fuel, deep inside North Korea.

The special train is scouting rail improvements as the two countries seek closer ties.
