E655 "Nagomi" The Imperial Train (Japan)
Author: cchan006

Wikipedia does a great job of describing the E655 (in English):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E655_series

E655 is often used for charter trips, and as an Imperial Train for Japan's Royal Family. Special Imperial Car is added for Royal duty, but otherwise the E655 runs as a 5 car set.

During my recent trip to Japan, I stumbled upon the E655 twice. Once at Utsunomiya, where it was parked in the yard, and at McDonald's with a View. Both of those are documented in the video. I had no such luck the past 4 years. Maybe the Doctor Yellow toy I got at McDonald's gave me luck?

That's it for the quick report.

Reminds me at first glance of Pennsy's three striped livery.  Sharp looking!

I agree. It does have that PRR flair about it.

I believe the correct number is five stripes......and yes, that equipment does have a Pennsy look.
