Three trains in an hour (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, yesterday afternoon I spent an hour watching trains in EVP yard here in town. Here are some pic:

1) In Vale and VLI systems, L means trains of empty locomotives.  L516 was an lonely SD70BB in its first run from EMD plant to EEL yard, where it will join its first cargo train. We see it here entering the yard where train V093 waits to cross with it;

2 & 3) V means MoW train. V093 was leaded by BB36-7 7493, an ex ATSF unit. The U20C 2542 and BB40-3 6501 got a ride to EWL yard.

After trains L516 and V093, Vale mining coke train C465 arrived in the yard. It was leaded by BB40-9W 1157 and BB40-9 1110. BB40-9 1106 was the DPU.

Interesting pictures.  I think that if I was there I would be able to pursue my other interest --  insect and botanical photography!

In the rainy seasion, the grass grows very fast here. Insects and snakes are everywhere.

Rattlesnakes are more common. Yellow scorpions also are common here.
