Help to identify a rail type (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, I have seen some pieces of old rail type been used in containment or in abandoned bridges built in the end of 1800's. Can someone identify this type of rail? Is it an american or british type?

No answer here; wish I did know.  At first I thought maybe the two outer pieces are street rail for trolleys, but now I think not. Maybe the flaring out of the two outer pieces is to provide more stability in certain environments?  Will be watching this for any possible answers.
Thanks for posting!
