Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos from Japan, a country that appreciates rail transportation and the RR industry does not kill the flowers with a weed sprayer. Or did you "plant" the flowering plant? Either way I like the photos.
I had the honor to tour, by rail, your country in 1968 for a week of R&R from Vietnam. Everyone was real friendly and liked seeing a young GI interested in their railway system. Got some good shots of steam, diesel and electric power too.

Thank you for visiting this thread.
Yes, Sir, the year 1968 was the end of the Golden era of railroading in Japan.  You were here to witness the changes almost taken place.
These plans were well maintained sometimes by railroad, but most cases by the city governments.

Thank you for posting these!
There is a logo or emblem on 5822, with a "90th" on it.  Perhaps it is celebrating the 90th car of that series built?  (Also a "90" sign above that one).
Thanks,
Norm

Yes, it was the 90th anniversary of the Toyoko (Tokyo-Yokohama) line operation.
Tokyu decided to go Heritage by putting a coat of green file over the stainless steel body.
Tokyu selected the 8-car consist of the class 5000 to celebrate this occasion.
It so happened to be the 22th consist of the class in service.
After more than a year of the operation, Tokyu decided to retain the green scheme for a while.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the annual flower blossom shots from Yokohama and Tokyo.

I'm guessing it's a bit early for cherry blossoms, so these are plum blossoms?

Maybe in two weeks, I will be able to shoot "Sakura" blossoms once again from Tokyo area.
Flowers from Kikuna area are a sort of early "bird" ones.
Here is the Picture.
You are right that peaches and plumes are among the early ones.

Beautiful shots -- not just the scene you took, but the angles, the framing, all perfect.
