VLI stainless steel gondolas (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, VLI has a nice model of stainless steel gondolas made in Brazil by Randon. They were built for coal, slag and phosphate rock.
Three pics of mine done here in town in different dates.

Could be a new beet rack design. Just add wood extensions and standard gauge trucks.

It is lighter and more resistant to abrasion.

Thanks. Maybe my mind is failing me, but I am having difficulty in recalling any stainless steel freight cars in the USA. Of course, passenger cars are a different matter.
