Vale coal train C265 at EVP (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, due to the problem with the mud dam in some areas near here, Vale mining can not delivery the coal toa importante steel mill, so the option was detour the coal trains to my area  and transload the cargo to MRS railroad. Rememberthat Vale is narrow gauge and MRS is broad gauge, so it is ncvessary to undload the coal to the ground and then load MRS train. So, we have an encreasing of coal train here. The C 65 trains are for coal, and now we havea daily northbound Cx65  and a MRS south bound Ox82 with the same coal. The x in the prefix refers to the day of the week the train is formed, so this C265  was done on monday.

1 and 2) Vale BB40-9W 1229 and BB40-9 1107 leading the northbound coal train through EVP yard.

3) Vale BB40-9W 1225 working as DPU in the same train.

Such neat images.  Thanks Pedro, I look forward to your posts.

I am still shocked and saddened by the dam collapse, too.  Sad and irresponsible on the part of the company.
