International Railroad Discussion > Port of Balboa - Panama CityDate: 05/02/19 18:59 Port of Balboa - Panama City Author: erielackawanna Here are some grab shots from the back seat of my Uber (or fake Uber) in Panama City. The driver told me that we wouldn't stop anywhere near there and we didn't have time to make another loop even (he was right - with my agenda and a plane leaving in a couple hours - this was the only pass I could afford). I did get another train out on the line just before heading back to the airport, but by then it was a mix of high sun and high clouds. Will share that one in a day or so.
Image one is a COFC train being loaded with an SD60/F40PH consist. Image two is the F40 Image three is the SD60. Date: 05/02/19 19:00 Re: Port of Balboa - Panama City Author: erielackawanna Image four is one last shot of the yard (bit soft, sorry, did the best I could).
If I get back to Panama City I'll rent my own car and go park at Gambo and wait there for trains. Date: 05/02/19 19:22 Re: Port of Balboa - Panama City Author: zorz Fake Uber? How's that work?

No association with Uber... just felt like an Uber because it was his car.

Many of the tour guides I've used in Europe and Asia used their own cars if it was a small group. More money for the tour guide!
