Hi, my friend Rony visited the ABPF steam train in Guararema SP this weekend. It is the only broad gauge steam train in operation in Brazil nowadays and run in a track also served by MRS as branch to Suzano paper mill plant.

The original stretch that crossed Guararema ran out of traffic for 20 years until 2006, when a Suzano paper mill deployed a large factory as a legacy of the line just after Guararema, at São Silvestre station. So after 20 years the train ran gain between Mogi das Cruzes and São Silvestre. Between São Silvestreand São José dos Campos the section is abandoned, with the line covered by land and bush, without use since 1980.

Wow, a 3 cylinder Baldwin Pacific  running in 2019 !!!!!!!!!!!

Another one was restored to run, but it is in a different location. It is old EFCB 370.
