Thank you for visiting this thread. Those are utility lines. Also, you may see many utility poles Meantime, I am almost getting there. Found a map showing all exhibitions at the barn and many were already there and enjoying tram fanning! Hiroshi CPRR Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Fantastic. You are welcome. Time to time, I am also enjoying your PRR related photos. The first thing I saw at the barn was this MoW utility track. This is a brand new "Isuzu"-made one. Also, I saw a demonstration of how maintain ace had been conducting there in front of the maintenance building(see the plate). And in-between, there was a small junkyard! Date: 06/11/19 01:39 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi Came to the back of the barn, you can see a traverser (actually they got a pair of them. One this end and another at the other end.)
Inside the barn, I found this plot plan, you can see how they layout the tracks inside the barn. Car #8906 is the one they are working on. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/11/19 01:40 by Hiroshi. Date: 06/12/19 01:24 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi You are inside the barn, actually in the shop area.
Looks familiar to you? This is a 1/1 scale workbench and parts to assemble trams! Date: 06/12/19 01:30 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi This place is just big enough to shop one car at the time.
Very compact place to visit. Shop engineers are genius to build up a this toy for kids to play while they are visiting the shop. Date: 06/12/19 12:48 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: atsf121 That looks like a fun place to visit, thanks for the photos Hiroshi.

Thank you for stopping by. The event is always taking place the nearest Sunday of June 10th, which is the Tram Day in japan. Tokyo Sakura Line is operated by Tokyo Kotsu Service a.k.a. TKS. At the facility, you can see their slogan "Change, Challenge, TKS." Nest to it was a plate cerebrating the 100th year in service. And this is a "Kanban" board for Kits, it says: "Do not forget anything behind. Be sure to check time to time;" "Do not fall on. Be sure not use cellar phone while you are walking;" "not get lost. Be sure to go with Mommy and Dad." And some of the red and green ones must be newer, maybe a different material.
Thanks, Norm Date: 06/15/19 05:04 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi norm1153-san:
Yes, you are correct. The white rollsigns are made of canvas, while the color ones are made of a plastic material, which is newer than the white ones. Thank you for visiting. Stepped out from the shop, and walked up to the stop, I found a quite lot of people already gathered. Even the police offers were there too. the main attraction of the day is this line-up inside the main barn. norm1153 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Some of the rollsigns look like they're made of > canvas, which is what was used extensively, here > in the US. Almost I got there. Many of people were lining up and waiting for the turn to move closer to a pair of new and old trams. Date: 06/17/19 03:16 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi Date: 06/18/19 02:48 Re: Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House Author: Hiroshi |
