Visiting Tobu Museum in Tokyo
Author: Hiroshi

I had a chance to visit the museum.
It is conveniently located next to the railway station, Higashi-Mukojima of Tobu Sky-tree line.  Three stations away from Asakusa.
Outside the museum along the street, you can see two distinct exhibition of the equipment.
The head-car (shorten to be stored here) of Ltd. Express "Kegon" and Nikko-Kido's #203.

What made the Car 203 unique was that it was designed to be articulated.
It was built in 1954. It was used till 1968 when the line was abandoned.

Very cool! We rode part of the line from Asakasa to Skytree. Next time, if all goes well, we'll swing by the museum too!

Cheers,
Harry

Asakusa is the place you should go and will not disappoint you to be there.
Tobu station is located inside the department store, interesting enough, where you will be Ltd express setting right next to locals.
Next Stop, Skytree is where you will see the very modern city whereas Asakusa carries good ole Japanese culture.
Higashi-Mukojima is a just small town in the north-east. The Museum is right next to the station.
(Heading for Higashi-Mukojima from Skytree station, be sure to look at left side of the train, there is a yard where you will see a few consists of Ltd Expresses.)
Since you are that town,  and if you are willing to venture into the small town, this is the place I would go.
It is called Mukojima Hyakkaen (Japanese flour garden) run by Tokyo Government.  It is within walking distance.

Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muk%C5%8Djima-Hyakkaen_Garden

Hope this helps.

Tobu rail also provides bus services to the communities.  And it preserves this classic Nissan made bus at the museum.
