International Railroad Discussion > Regular service steam returns to ZimbabweDate: 07/24/19 14:49 Regular service steam returns to Zimbabwe Author: LTCerny In June, Zimbabwe started using its own new currency (instead of the U.S. Dollar, which replaced the former currency a few years ago at a rate of something like one quintillion to one). Inflaton has taken off again and diesel fuel is difficult to obtain. A report by Bernd Seller of Far Rail Tours is that some switching in the yard at Bulawayo has now returned to steam.
