Regular service steam returns to Zimbabwe
Author: LTCerny

In June, Zimbabwe started using its own new currency (instead of the U.S. Dollar, which replaced the former currency a few years ago at a rate of something like one quintillion to one).  Inflaton has taken off again and diesel fuel is difficult to obtain.  A report by Bernd Seller of Far Rail Tours is that some switching in the yard at Bulawayo has now returned to steam.

With only one serviceable locomotive. But good news none the less.

I'm surprised they're able to run the railway at all.

How long until tours are arranged, and passenger trips offered?

Zimbabwe hasn't had a viable tourist business in quite a while, has it?
